I joined the ARTIS team early in 2005 for my Master's internship, under supervision of Gilles Debunne. My Master's thesis was about the study of alternative representations for the efficient display of distant object.
Then i did a PhD (MENRT scholarship, i.e. funded by the French Ministry of Research) under supervison of François Sillion (as weel as Xavier Décoret during the first year). I focused my reasearch on alternative representations of visual detail, for real-time image synthesis.
I left ARTIS in 2009 to carry on a postdoc in the Computer Graphics department of the Max Planck Institut für Informatik in Saarbrücken (Germany). See my home page at MPI for more infos about the continuation of my research activity.
My research work concerns particularly:
PhD thesis from Université Joseph Fourier - Grenoble 1 - nov 2009
Computer Graphics Forum (Proceedings of Eurographics 2009), Volume 28, Number 2 - mar 2009
Eurographics Workshop on Natural Phenomena - 2006
Graphics Interface '06 - 2006
Master's thesis from UJF & INPG - juin 2005
During my PhD studies, i followed the "monitorat" (i.e. instructorship) program, which lead me to teach at Polytech'Grenoble, an engineering school depending on UJF. I had in charge several classes of the TIS department ("Technologies de l'Information pour la Santé", i.e. Information Technologies for Health), in the following disciplines:
