Removing a plugin manually

From QtClipse

Jump to: navigation, search

Go to menu Help > Software Updates > Manage configuration. Browse the tree view on the left to find any *.qt.* plugin/feature. Select this entry, and in the right panel, choose disable. Accept to restart the workbench. Then repeat the process, but this time, select uninstall in the righ panel. Restart again the workbench and you are done. Yes, I know, this is boring to do it twice, but that's the way it is.

Alternatively, first close your Eclipse (and before, close all opened QMake editors). Then, go in you eclipse/plugins directory and delete all org.eclipse.qt* files. Then restart your Eclipse with the -clean option. Done.

In the future, this will not be necessary to do this. The QtClipse feature is now distributed with an update site. However, first version was manually distributed and I have to provide these instructions for those early users.
